🚀 Big Tech & Startups
Are social media platforms trying to be too much like TikTok?
We’re sensing that certain platforms are feeling a little left out, as TikTok continues to grow in popularity.
Facebook is having a little update, meaning that your news feed might look a little different, with a real focus on video content from creators. The social platform will now be split into a ‘Home’ feed as well as a ‘Feeds’ tab. But, do we want a TikTok-esque experience on every social media platform we use?
Users of Instagram are also not happy, as this week there’s been a certain post circulating on Instagram stories demanding “MAKE INSTAGRAM INSTAGRAM AGAIN. Stop trying to be TikTok I just want to see cute photos of my friends.”
Is it better to follow suit or stand out from the crowd? 🤨
🔭 Science & Futuristic Tech
The tech helping to bring you your morning coffee - BBC News
Most of us feel like we struggle to function on a morning without a cup of coffee to kick start our day. ☕️
But, do you know where most of your coffee beans come from? The answer: Brazil 🇧🇷
To keep up with the high demands, Brazil’s largest coffee producers are turning towards technology to help them successfully grow and process the best possible crop, both in terms of size and quality.
A computer app called Cropwise Protector has been providing a helping hand and is, surprisingly, proving to be a faster but kinder approach on the environment too. 🌱
