Elon Musk is a name that regularly circulates on the internet and there’s no stopping him when it comes to his next investment.
The richest man in the world has just become a little richer - Musk has put his money where his mouth is and has taken a 9.2% share (worth around $3bn) in one of the biggest social platforms, Twitter.
Now that he’s one of the biggest stakeholders in the company, will he be shaking up social media? Elon Musk has previously voiced his opinions on Twitter asking if things need to change and he could be about to do just that.
🔭 Science & Futuristic Tech

The tech (and science) community is heavily male-dominated - fact! There are not enough women working in the tech sector or believe that it’s possible to do so.
“It’s not a problem that there are so many men. It’s just a problem that there aren’t many women.”
But,The Inspiring Women project is paving the way - their recent work includes promoting STEM careers through the use of 3D holograms, showcasing previous scientists and their achievements. 👩‍🔬
As part of their ongoing trial, the project has been working alongside Irish tech start-up Volograms to use AR technology to inspire the younger generation of females, to make a move into tech. 👏
If you believe it, you can achieve it! Take that step into tech and follow your passions 🚀
🗞 Developer Stories
Meet Asher, a career switcher with a background in tech recruitment.
Through talking to hundreds of developers, I became more and more interested in the space and in the type of projects these individuals were working on. That led me to take a course on Udemy covering Front-end development and I did some research into the back-end, mainly around Java.
I don’t think a bunch of bean bags or a pool table determine what a company’s culture is like, it’s more so how people within that company treat each other that’s important. Devs also wanted someone they could trust and who actually understood their needs and requirements, as opposed to a lot of recruiters trying to persuade them to go for any role that came across their desk.
I believe that if you learn how to sell, and learn how to build, you can go on to accomplish anything. I feel my time in recruitment was great as it taught me the sales side of the business and now I’m learning how to build applications.
